COVID-19 has changed the way we work
Our job is a very relational one. Our focus has been on being physically together with our clients as we worked together on personal finances. However, with the spread of COVID-19, that is not always possible. We have technology available to allow us to work remotely with clients who do not feel comfortable with in-person visits. With the information technology background of Thomas Lapp, we are able to help clients walk through implementing technology as needed to stay in contact and continue our work with clients.
We encourage remote work
Although we will meet with client in-person, we have modified our work practices to limit exposure times as much as possible. We also make use of digital storage and remote access of paperwork whenever possible with the client.
For those clients whom require one-on-one visits, we are applying the appropriate Covid-19 prevention protocols. As the Omicron variant becomes widespread, we may institute more conservative protocols as needed to keep both us and our clients safe from transmission. With the changes brought about by vaccinations, we able to be more personal, yet still limit close interaction. We are complying with all recommended practices by the CDC. In-person visits require wearing of masks unless all parties have been vaccinated. In those situations, wearing of masks is optional. Our goal is to minimize the opportunity to cross-transmit the virus.
The situation is difficult but we are working our way through this
We often work with clients who have difficulty with change. This period of time is one in which we have a greater-than-normal amount of change in our lives. Our processes continue to remain flexible so that we can shift to finding solutions so that we can continue to provide the high level of service our clients expect. Because circumstances change over time, our response will also be ready to change as needed.
